In Chinese Medicine, late summer is the golden harvest season of the abundant earth element. It marks the transition between the summer and fall. It's a time of digestion and grounding. This time of year, we are invited to center ourselves as we get ready for the Fall time, where we take nature's cue, watching the leaves fall and "let go".
We transition from the earth element to the metal element. We transition from the business of the summer to slowing down and enjoying the fruits of our labor.
We prepare for this transition through guided movement practices such as yoga, qigong, tai chi, and meditation, promoting deep rest. These simple but profound seasonal practices are a beautiful way to weave more intention and wellness into self-care for your health care.
