In Chinese Medicine, late summer is the golden harvest season of the abundant earth element. It marks the transition between the summer and fall. It's a time of digestion and grounding. This time of year, we are invited to center ourselves as we get ready for the Fall time, where we take nature's cue, watching the leaves fall and "let go".

We transition from the earth element to the metal element. We transition from the business of the summer to slowing down and enjoying the fruits of our labor.

We prepare for this transition through guided movement practices such as yoga, qigong, tai chi, and meditation, promoting deep rest. These simple but profound seasonal practices are a beautiful way to weave more intention and wellness into self-care for your health care.

I designed this class as an elixir for vitality, stability, and complete balance of body, mind, spirit, and energy.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • The first 10 minutes describe what the class will focus on, along with setting your intention for what you need from the practice.
  • Forty-five minutes of qigong/tai chi include a warm-up, gentle healing, and seasonal and functional Qigong movements to energize all your systems.
  • Ten-minute guided relaxation, and setting an intention to move into the next moment of your day.
  • I allow time for questions and comments to further explain the practice.
  • You will receive a recording of the class, along with a 15-minute brief round-up, to practice independently.

ABOUT DEBBIE

Debbie Belaus is an online certified Qigong teacher specializing in the older population. She founded Qigong With Debbie, a culmination of over forty years in the healing arts as a yoga and meditation teacher, massage therapist, and wellness studio owner for ten years. Debbie's journey as an older woman in her late sixties opened her to the practice of Qigong. This energy-based protocol focuses on movements that are more conducive to helping the body repair damage and restore vitality lost over time. The practice of Qigong can help you be your best healer as you approach your wisest years. Her classes offer space and comfort, safety and acceptance, and she honors the inevitable changes that come with the aging process. You will leave feeling energized, inspired, and motivated to age with confidence and grace.
